Aditya Mittal

Founder and President

Hello! My name is Aditya Mittal, and I am a senior at American High School.  I got interested in neuroscience while studying for Science Bowl in middle school and have been fascinated since. I am intrigued by how a biological organ controls our cognitive abilities to think, learn and reason and how artificial intelligence aims to emulate it. I hope to explore the combination of technology and science to further the understanding and application of intelligence to improve the lives of people.

The idea to start a youth organization formed through a desire to share the wonders of the brain with young minds and create a forum for like-minded peers to connect and learn together.

In addition to neuroscience, I love playing tennis and am on the high school varsity team. I am also the captain of the high school debate team.

Rohit Mathur

Co-Founder

Hey! My name is Rohit Mathur and I’m currently a senior at American High School. One of my passion is to teach and explore the diverse fields of neuroscience, engineering, and technology. What fascinates me about the field of neuroscience is its complexity as well as how intricate and specific our nervous system is. In the future, I do hope to incorporate more engineering skills into the field of neuroscience.

 

  • Abhijith Varma Mudunuri | Director of Technology

    I'm Abhijith and one of my favorite areas that I explore with Neruomatter is deep learning and AI in a health context. Through my projects and reserach, I've encountered various concepts in the data portion of machine learning, and fascinate me. Being able to present on ethics in data at the Fremont Youth Ambassador Program and other events was really eye-opening and I can't want to explore even more depths with Neuromatter.

  • Sruthi Ginka | Director of Education

    Hi! I am Sruthi, a junior at American High School! I am extremely passionate about the medical field and hope to pursue a career in the health care system. I love learning about the human body and the wonders of the brain always amaze me! Apart from education, I love to binge watch on Netflix and create art!

  • Pranav Surapaneni | Director of Operations

    Hi! My name is Pranav Surapaneni. As an aspiring neurosurgeon, I believe in the numerous opportunities related to the brain through Neuromatter. These include informative events on the brain, meetings, discussions, and more. No matter which areas of neuroscience one is intrigued by, though, it is fortunate that we all share a community with one interest to explore: the brain.

  • Suravi Bajaj | Director of Outreach

    Hey! My name is Suravi Bajaj and I am a junior at American High School. What fascinates me about neuroscience is the depth and complexity of the field and that it has applications in many other fields of science. In the future, I hope to major in psychology and do research on how neuroscience can benefit the other fields of STEM. Besides exploring this field, I also love to play guitar, basketball, and draw.

  • Keyura Grandhi | Director of Education

    My name is Keyura Grandhi and I am a junior in American High School. I love to dance, and i've been dancing for 12 years now, I have competed in many competitions in hope to raise money charity. I have co-founded a nonprofit called AJA to help animals and make a change in the community. I have been in neuromatter for a year now, and I find it very interesting to learn about, I hope this year I can further my learning.
