Neuromatter AHS

 

Neuromatter AHS is incorporated as a branch of American High School’s Science Olympiad Club. Science Olympiad is one of the largest K-12 STEM organizations in the US, dedicated to driving interest and participation in various disciplines of STEM.

 

Initiatives

AHS Students can engage in different Neuromatter initiatives to gain STEM skills, make a community impact, build real world applications to improve lives and take one step closer to becoming a future STEM leader.

 

STEM Exchange

Provide a forum for students to explore the different fields of neuroscience and gain deeper insight of how they can improve lives of people.

Outreach/Community Engagement

Provide opportunities to volunteer at community events aimed at fostering interest and enthusiasm for STEM topics and impact of brain science on everyday lives.

Brain Bee Competition

Prepare for and participate in neuroscience competitions like the Bay Area Brain Bee Competition with a chance to advance to USA National and International Brain Bee championships

Technology Corner

Drive innovation and problem solving by applying technology to solve problems related to human health, intelligence and wellbeing

 

Member Benefits

  • Publish articles on a wide range of topics from medicine, wellbeing, ethics, AI and more.

  • Compete and win awards at the local Brain Bee Competition with a chance to advance to the prestigious USA National and International Brain Bee championships

  • Volunteer at community outreach events and teach basic topics to local schools

  • Build STEM skills across broad disciplines ranging from biology, psychology, computer science and engineering and discover potential careers

  • Apply computer science to solve problems related to human health, intelligence and wellbeing

    Not to mention, have the opportunity to collaborate and work together to understand the full workings of ourselves and drive innovation in the artificial intelligence systems that emulate us!
